Shea Moisture's Deep Treatment Masque

The Shea Moisture's Deep Treatment Masque is part of the raw shea butter line and the ingredients are: de-ionized water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea butter) (denotes certified organic ingredients), Argan oil, vegetable glycerin, emulsifying wax, sea kelp extract, Panthenol (vitamin B-5), essential oil blend, avocado oil, Lonicera Caprifolium (honeysuckle) flower and Lonicera Japonica (Japanese honeysuckle) flower extract, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Hyssopus Officinalis Extract, Salvia Officinalis (sage) leaf and Equisetum Arvense Extract, soybean oil and Daucus Carota Sativa (carrot) seed oil.

Shea Moisture's Deep Treatment Masque has a very thick and creamy consistency. You can use this as a deep conditioner, moisturizer, or styling cream. I personally use this as a deep conditioner but before I put do a protective style, I moisturize my hair with the deep treatment masque. Many people use this as a styler but I do not think I can use it that way. This product has no hold at all but it will definitely make your hair soft.

This Deep Treatment Masque is one of the best things that entered my life. I can not imagine my life without it. My hair was so soft and smooth. I just couldn't believe it. This creamy product glided through my hair like expensive butter.  It weighed my curls down, but I do not mind that at all. My hair is very thick, so I love very thick products. The best part of this deep conditioner is after I take the plastic shower cap off from an over-night deep treatment session, my curls popped right out of my scalp.

Usually, it is very difficult to see my curl pattern. I have to put a lot of condition in my hair just to achieve some type of curls. So just imagine how bad my wash and go's look.

As you can tell, I absolutely love this product. It does everything a deep conditioner/moisturizer should do. This is definitely one of my staple products. Actually this was my first staple product ever! If this Deep Treatment Masque were to disappear off the store shelves, I do not know what I would do. Shea Moisture is doing their thing!

Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie

The Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie is part of the Coconut and Hibiscus line. The ingredients are: de-ionized water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea butter)*, Macadamia Ternifolia seed oil, Mangifera Indica (mango) seed butter*, Persea Gratissima (avocado) oil, Cocos Nucifera (coconut) oil*, Aloe Barbadensis leaf extract, silk protein, Melia Azadirachta (Neem) seed oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (carrot) seed oil, Caprylyl glycol, Sorbitol Esters, essential oil blend, Lonicera Caprifolium (honeysuckle) flower and Lonicera Japonica (Japanese honeysuckle) flower extract and Tocopherol (vitamin E)

If you knew me personally, you would know that I am a BIG Shea Moisture fan. I loved almost everything I have tried. The first product that I ever tried from "SM" is the Curl Enhancing Smoothie. I must say I HATED it! I hated it on wet, damp, and completely dry hair. I was thinking "If this is what Shea Moisture is about then I do not want it" I tried this product in many different ways. I tried it as a moisturizer, styler, a deep conditioner, and a sealer. It was disgusting. I was more hurt than anything because this was the infamous curl enhancing smoothie! How could it not work?! I felt as though I was the only one in the world who didn't like this until I found a youtuber by the name of LolaKinkz. She hated it also, so I didn't feel that bad about myself.

The Curl Enhancing Smoothie has made my hair soft as a styler but my scalp became very itchy and I had white flakes. At first, I thought I was using to much but when I decreased the amount of product, I still had flakes! I couldn't believe it. When I used it as a deep conditioner it did absolutely nothing for my hair. My hair had a brittle feeling. I am very surprised that my hair reacted to the product this way because my hair loves shea butter so I thought that this product would work. But I guess not.

Let Me Introduce Myself!

My name is Angelique and I go by the name AngieCharme. I am officially a product junkie. Yes, I am a PJ. Yes shame, but I cannot hide who I am inside.

I am a nineteen year old young lady who is trying to figure out who she really is. They say that during the time of adolescence a person tries to figure themselves out. Well that's exactly what I am doing. The best way to know my true self is a lot of soul searching and going NATURAL! Yes NATURAL!

Now I sure that everyone who reads this is not a teenager but I think we can have common ground here! Products and our hair! Our beautiful natural hair.

So let me explain why I actually went natural. As a young child I always had long very kinky hair. I mean very very kinky or should I say the "forbidden" word "nappy". My hair was so NAPPY that no salon in Brooklyn would do my hair. It was only one lady (God Bless her soul) who made the BOLD decision to straighten my hair. But that's not the point. Anyways, my mother didn't know how to take care of my hair. Of course, there wasn't much information about taking care of "nappy" hair. My mother didn't even comb my hair the correct way. So forget about leave in conditioners and oils. It was all about small tooth combs and grease. Sometimes even Vaseline. So at the age of 11, she decided to perm my hair.

At first my hair was luscious and long but it slowly began to break off. The crown of my head became my "weak spot" and my hair from 11 until now has disappeared. So here I am, natural and confused.
So lets take this journey together. Products, hairstyles, regimens, and all. :)
